What can I expect at a community acupuncture treatment?
A community acupuncture treatment is a unique opportunity to give your body, mind, heart, and spirit the healing and peace you deserve.
When you first arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted and guided to complete a short health history form. You will be invited to find a recliner in the main healing area and we will discuss your current situation. You'll receive your first acupuncture treatment and have the opportunity to rest for at least 30 minutes. We encourage you to listen to your body and allow yourself to rest as long as you like.
Your Acupuncture Treatment
During your treatment, you'll relax in a recliner or lie on a massage table, fully clothed. Soft music plays in the background, and beautiful lighting illuminates the room.
We usually needle points on the head, arms, hands, legs, and feet. If possible, wear clothing that makes these areas easily accessible. Once inserted, we recommend you relax for at least 30 minutes. At times I may recommend an additional therapy, such as cupping, electro-acupuncture, or gua sha, any of which can enhance your treatment.
After Your Treatment
Once the needles have done their work, they are removed. We meet up at the front desk and we schedule your next appointment. You pay an amount of your choosing, between $20-$40. Cash, checks, and cards are accepted.
Then we warmly part and you receive all of the benefits of acupuncture. Until next time....
